Capture the Flag

How it works

• The classic capture the flag, adapted for MEGAMU — team play and strategic PvP.
• The map has 4 bases and each one has an NPC some distance away, which is where the stolen flag goes.
• Bases and NPCs show on the minimap: press TAB.

Capturing the flag

1. The flag is the fire on the statue. Talk to the statue at the centre of the enemy base.
2. A countdown of 10 motionless seconds starts. Leaving the square or being interrupted cancels it.
3. With the fire in hand, run to the marked base NPC without dying.
4. Deliver it alive and the base becomes your guild's: from then on every member can talk to the NPC to teleport there.

If the carrier dies

• If the base's owning guild kills the spawned monster, the fire returns to its original base.
• If another guild kills it, whoever landed the blow gets the fire and carries on.

Defence

• Stay near the statue to defend the base.
• If a team mate is delivering, keep your distance so you do not get kicked out of the delivery area.
• Towers and mines (/tower and /mine) help defend the bases you hold.

Commands

• /ctf1, /ctf2, /ctf3, /ctf4 — quick teleport to each base
• /score — live scoreboard

Score

• 3 points per capture and delivery
• 1 point every 10 seconds with the flag active inside the base

Rewards by placement

Blessing of Light and claiming

• Once used, it triples XP for 30 minutes.
• Prizes are claimed from NPC Arena Guard, at the entrance of the Lorencia bar.
• Each member claims once only.

Since only the first to claim get the Blessing of Light too, it pays for the guild to agree beforehand who claims first.
