Pentagrams
The item that gives elemental damage and defense: tiers, the five errtel slots, the element chart and the trade limit.
The pentagram is the item that gives your character elemental damage and defense. It goes in its own slot, and every errtel socketed into it adds the errtel's options to the pentagram.
There are two kinds: the normal ones (Beginner through Unique) and the Mastery ones. You get the Beginner pentagram when you create the character.
The Beginner pentagram comes with every new character — drop it in the special slot and the elemental damage starts counting.
The pentagram slot sits apart from the ordinary gear, in the character window.
The five errtel slots

The Slot of Radiance is the fifth one and comes locked: it needs the Expansion Scroll of Radiance Slot item to open.

A pentagram dropped by a monster comes with 1 to 4 slots, or 2 to 4, depending on the tier.
Trade limit
Every pentagram has a Trade Limit: how many more times it can change hands. The Transaction Seal, bought from the Cash Shop, raises that limit by one.
- The limit goes up to 255.
- It drops on every trade or sale between characters.
- It does not drop while the item just sits in the vault.
- A pentagram dropped by a monster is born with a limit of 1.
- The Transaction Seal can be traded, sold in a Personal Store and kept in the vault.
