Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Locks trading, dropping and vault access behind a 6-digit code. Protection against shared accounts and break-ins.

What 2FA does
Two-factor authentication adds a layer of protection to the account: it blocks risky actions — trading, dropping items, using the vault — so a shared or stolen account cannot be emptied.
How to enable it
- Go to the official MEGAMU site and log in.
- Click your nickname in the top right corner and pick Security.
- Under Devices, scroll to 2FA – Two-Factor Authentication and click Enable extra protection.
- Pick one of the suggested authenticator apps and click Next.
- Open the app on your phone and scan the QR code on screen; it generates a 6-digit code.
- Type the code on the site and click Send.
- Tick the actions you want protected and click Apply.
Changing what stays locked
- Log into the site and go to Security.
- On the 2FA Code screen, type the 6-digit code from the app and click Unlock.
- Tick or untick the locks and click Apply.
Unlocking and locking in game
You can release the protected actions without turning 2FA off on the site:

/lock | Locks everything again right away, no code needed. |
The unlock lasts for the whole session. Relogging, closing the game or getting disconnected turns the protection back on by itself.
Turning it off for good
The staff does not recommend it, except when you change phones.
- On the site, open the Security tab.
- Click Request deactivation by e-mail.
- The system sends a code to the registered address (from
[email protected]). - Paste the code into the field and click Deactivate.
